• Inclusive style means today counts as day 0. If today is March 1 and your date is March 2, the tool reports 1 day.
• Exclude today means the count starts tomorrow. For example, if today is March 1 and your date is March 2, the count can show 0 days left.

The difference is small but noticeable for near-term dates. For long-range planning, the two approaches usually converge. Use the toggle that matches your mental model so the results feel natural.

• Today: April 3
• Target: May 1

Inclusive counting returns 1 day. Excluding today can return 0 days left. Pick the style that matches your plan.

Example 6: Past date in Days Until

If you set a date in the past while in Days Until mode, the tool shows a note that the date has passed and suggests switching to Days Since.
